FCA Heritage is coming to the Interclassics Brussels

  • FCA Heritage, the division in charge of the automotive heritage associated with the Italian brands of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, attends the Interclassics Brussels motor show, held on the 15th, 16th and 17th of November.
  • Three models on display at the FCA Heritage stand, to celebrate Fiat's 120 years and Abarth's 70 years.
  • The new Abarth 695 70° Anniversario presented for the very first time in Belgium.

FCA Heritage is represented for the first time at the Interclassics Brussels fair, which is held at the Palais des Expositions of Brussels from the 15th to the 17th of November. For this fifth edition of the greatest event dedicated to vintage cars in Brussels, FCA Heritage and FCA Belgium have decided to display three vehicles of the Fiat and Abarth brands. The choice of these two brands is because Fiat is celebrating its 120 years of existence, whereas the Abarth brand has reached the venerable age of 70 in 2019.
Various events have already been held in Italy and in Europe to celebrate these two important anniversaries, and the presence of FCA Heritage at the Interclassics Brussels will provide car enthusiasts who are in the Brussels region from the 15th to the 17th of November the opportunity of paying homage to these two emblematic Italian brands.

At last Geneva Motorshow, Fiat has presented Fiat Concept Centoventia tribute to the 120 years of Fiat history and expertise, hence the name of the prototype, which means "one hundred and twenty" in Italian. Fiat Concept Centoventi is the democratic answer to the electric urban mobility of tomorrow: a blank canvas ready to be painted to suit the customer's needs at any time. With a "less is more" design approach, minimizing costs, it is produced in just one livery, which customers will be able to personalize using the "4U" program: a choice of 4 roofs, 4 bumpers, 4 wheel covers and 4 external wrappings. So this vehicle can be updated with the greatest freedom and imagination in its colors, interiors, roof, infotainment system and even battery range, which comes as standard with 100 KM, and can be extended, at any time, up to 400 KM. FCA has decided to display two Fiat 500 models at the Interclassics Brussels: a 500D from 1966 and a 500C Dolce Vita, the last special series of the last generation of Fiat 500.

The 70th birthday of Abarth was celebrated in a "sporty" manner, with the unveiling of the new Abarth 695 70° Anniversario. This special Abarth 695 70° Anniversario model is making its first public appearance at the Interclassics Brussels, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Abarth & C. brand and to pay homage to the creative genius of its founder, Carlo Abarth (1908-1979), who was the first to understand the full potential of the transformation of vehicles and the technical updates of mass-produced cars.

This new limited edition is the most significant event among the homages that have been paid to the brand throughout the year. Only 1949 models are produced, as a reference to the year the company was created. It is equipped with the brand new "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile", resulting from the work of Abarth engineers in the FCA wind tunnel of Orbassano (Turin), designed to improve the aerodynamic properties of the car. It improves the car's roadholding and stability at high speeds. In short, it optimises its performance.
The new "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile" therefore pays homage to the creator of the concept of performance, who pushed back the boundaries of pure power, of top speeds and of acceleration. Indeed, Carlo Abarth was driven by the idea of performance and devoted his efforts to researching and developing innovating technical solutions. This constant research is what made him famous as a pioneer and visionary in the field of automotive transformation.

The third car on display at the FCA Heritage stand is none other than an original Fiat 500D dating from 1966. It serves as a bridge between the Fiat 500C Dolce Vita and the Abarth 695 70° Anniversario, both part of a unique history in the worldwide automotive heritage.
