500L: world preview

The new 500L is the undisputed star of the stand as it makes its international debut right on the Swiss stage. 500L - the L stands for ‘Large' - is the new addition to the 500 range, which, following the Abarth and Cabrio versions, furthers the brand's strategy, with the aim of extending its offer by introducing models in a position to satisfy different types of customers. With the ‘L', the 500 expands and grows together with customers, to accommodate new experiences and needs once more. Four models of the new car are on display to give the public a good idea of the potential of the new model that will be introduced in Europe during the last quarter of 2012. Its engine range will initially comprise two petrol engines (TwinAir and 1.4 litres) and one turbodiesel engine (1.3 MultiJet II) and the most advanced, state-of-the-art technology from Fiat Group Automobiles.

500 America and 500 Color Therapy: the latest innovations of a Made in Italy icon

Space is also given over to the new innovations of the 500 range. The "500 America" numbered edition will make its debut in Geneva, with the saloon version on display. With only 500 numbered saloon units and 500 numbered convertible units produced, the new Fiat 500 America is celebrating the country where the model was sold in 2011 and where its collaboration with the American pop singer Jennifer Lopez started. The Fiat 500 co-stars with Lopez in her videoclip of the "Papi" track taken from the "Love?" album.
The new "500 Color Therapy", another interpretation of the 500, will be on show beside the special numbered edition. This brand-new version interprets and expands on the colourful pop-inspired 500 model by revisiting and celebrating a few of the pastel colour combinations that made it famous in Italy and around the world in the 1960's and 1970's.
500 America will be on sale starting from March, 500 Color Therapy starting from June.
At the stand the public will also have the chance to admire the convertible 500 by Gucci version, customised by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini in collaboration with the Centro Stile Fiat.
The "500 by Gucci", on the market since the end of June 2011 and today sold in more than 40 countries (including the Middle East, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong), has up until now topped a total of 2,600 orders in little more than six months.

Punto 2012: the evolution of a best seller

The Motor Show is also an opportunity for discovering the new Punto 2012. It is an important product innovation of Fiat's best-selling model, with 8.5 million units sold in Europe. Together with its updated look, the two-cylinder 85 HP TwinAir turbo engine - named "International Engine of the Year 2011" - is making its debut before the public in Geneva. This is what confirms the model as a perfect balance between eco-friendliness (98 g/km CO2) and driving pleasure (85 HP at 5,500 rpm and 145 Nm at 2,000 rpm of torque). As for the 500 model, the TwinAir name also on the Fiat Punto 2012 will indicate not only the revolutionary two-cylinder engine, but also a new specific trim level with a unique and recognisable look that can be admired in the stand area, marked by the exclusive colour, Energetico Green, combined with the glossy black "pianoblack" roof. On display beside this special version will also be a Punto 2012 that joins highly recognisable elements such as the colour, Exotica Red, together with the performance of the 135 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo S&S engine.
Fiat Punto 2012 is already available from the Fiat sales network in Italy and in the major European countries.

Freemont AWD: freedom and safety for ‘all the cars you want'

The Geneva spotlights will be turned on the Freemont AWD (All-Wheel Drive) that further accentuates the multi-faceted soul of the model - versatility and presence on the road characteristic of a SUV, the typical handling of a station wagon, and the room of a 7-seater MPV - offering customers the chance to tackle any grip condition in everyday use. The new four-wheel drive version is matched with the 170 HP 2.0 MultiJet 2 and 280 HP 3.6 V6 petrol engines, both offered with the new six-speed automatic transmission. It is a technologically sophisticated and completely automated system that allows the driver to control the vehicle even in extreme conditions in total safety.
Freemont AWD (All-Wheel Drive) is already available from the Fiat sales network in Italy and in the major European countries.

Panda, the first and second family car

Presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and just recently launched in Europe, the new Panda has proven to be the market's true city car of reference in form and substance. Two new features of the model that are bound to appeal will make their debut in Geneva: the new 85 HP TwinAir Turbo version with Dualogic gearbox - the ideal combination for driving around town - and the unprecedented sliding rear seat that still further increases its room inside, attesting to its undisputed versatility. The new Panda 85 HP TwinAir Turbo with Dualogic gearbox will be sold starting from April.
Last but not least, the general public can get a close-up look at the potential of the "Blue&Me TomTom2 LIVE" device that combines the advantages of an infotainment system integrated with the car and connected to the network with those of a portable navigation system, in this way opening the doors to connectivity and ensuring driving in city traffic with total peace of mind.

Bravo Street: new high value features

The Fiat Bravo Street makes its debut in Geneva. This new special series embodies the latest trends of young city dwellers: the city is seen as a throbbing, vibrant centre to experience freely, without conventional attitudes and far from conformism, and where it is important to attract attention, but without pretentious display. The Street version renders precisely this spirit through new features and an accessible price in order to respond to an advanced society that thrives on virtual and real innovations and that makes social networks a new starting point for life experiences.
The Bravo Street will become available starting from the third quater with the 120 HP 1.4 T-Jet Petrol and 120 HP 1.6 MultiJet Ds engines, both with the right balance of performance and savings.

120 HP Doblò 1.4 T-Jet: the only turbocharged petrol engine of the class

Freedom and flexible use are also ensured by another model shown: the Fiat Doblò equipped with the new 120 HP 1.4 T-Jet engine. It is the only turbocharged petrol engine of the class, which completes the range and guarantees its offer in the highest demand petrol market segment, above 105 HP. An offspring of MultiAir technology, the engine develops maximum power of 120 HP and torque values at the top of the category (206 Nm at 2000 rpm) that allow it to get going with nonchalance, even with a full load or with 7 people on board. It is precisely a 7-seater version that is on display in Geneva, strengthening the family space positioning of the model.
The Fiat Doblò 120 HP 1.4 T-Jet will be available starting from April.

Visitors will be introduced to the products of FGA Capital, a finance company specialising in the automotive segment, through illustrative materials and certain dedicated publications handed out at the stand.
