The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel Crowned ‘Texas Off-road Truck of the Year’ by Texas Motor Press Association
The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel has been named "Texas Off-road Truck of the Year" by the Texas Motor Press Association (TxMPA). The judging was conducted at the inaugural Texas Off-road Invitational held in Huntsville, Texas.
The Invitational hosted a strong field of pickup trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles. The TxMPA media panel evaluated the competitors over a multi-day series of challenges that included a mud-filled obstacle course designed to showcase off-road capability and technology.
"This award is very significant, as Texas is the world's single largest truck market, accounting for 20% of global full-size truck sales," said Stuart Laurie, Head of Ram Brand in the Middle East. "So when it comes to trucks they not only have very high expectations, but really know what they're talking about!"
"The full-size pick-up truck off-road segment is a competitive arena with a number of players and the 2019 Ram Rebel was up to the challenge," said Mike Herzing, President of TxMPA. "Although well-mannered on-road, the Rebel also offers great capability, encourages spirited off-road driving and is a great-looking pickup that thrilled the Texas Motor Press Association jurors."
Based on the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, the Ram Rebel brings off-road capability to the full-size truck segment with unique design cues and off-road components backed by Ram Truck engineering, making it the perfect vehicle for Middle East drivers looking to explore away from the beaten track.
The Rebel comes standard with a factory lift or optional air-suspension for added ground clearance. The 33-inch tyres, electronic-locking rear axle, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks and other off-road-ready features also appeal to the truck owner looking for an adventure.
"The Ram 1500 Rebel is a tough off-road truck, yet it offers class-leading technology and a great, no-compromise ride," said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. "As America's most awarded pickup, buyers know they're getting the best truck on the market, and one that's ready to take roads less travelled."
Available in showrooms across the Middle East, the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 range of no-compromise trucks leads in luxury, efficiency, capability and innovation.
