  • In the first stage of the ADAC F4 Championship powered by Abarth, a double success for the Englishman Jonny Edgar and a victory for the Finn Elias Seppänen.

In the first weekend of the FIA F4 Championship powered by Abarth in Italy and Germany, there were 6 races and 5 different winners on the two circuits that hosted the season opening on the Misano Adriatico and Lausitzring tracks.
The first race of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth took place on the Misano Adriatico circuit, named after Marco Simoncelli and saw 21 drivers from 14 nations. The three races were very hard fought and had three different winners, all Italians and all driving a single-seated car for the first time, after racing in karts.
The first race saw the win of the young Gabriele Minì, who started in pole position and managed to remain at the head of the race until the end, despite attacks from his compatriot Francesco Pizzi, who completed the race only 546 milliseconds later. Third place went to the Russian Filip Ugran.
The winner of Race 2 was Italian as well: Andrea Rosso preceded Ugran and Pizzi, with Minì in fourth place. Pizzi won the last race, coming in before Minì and the Swede Dino Beganovic.
The overall ranking for the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth sees Pizzi in first place, 3 points ahead of Minì. No Italian driver had won a race in this championship since 2018.
The next round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth will be on the Imola circuit from August 28 to 30.
The opening of the ADAC F4 Championship powered by Abarth took place at the spectacular Lausitzring circuit, where the Englishman Jonny Edgar won the first two races, ahead of the German Joshua Dürksen in the first race and followed by Jack Crawford from the USA in the second. The third race was won by the Finn Elias Seppänen, who preceded the Frenchman Victor Bernier.
Edgar showed great maturity by winning both Race 1, in dry conditions, and Race 2, in the wet.
The Englishman Edgar is at the top of the overall ranking for the championship with an advantage of 120 points on the Finn Seppänen.
The next races will be on the Nürburgring circuit from August 14 to 16.
