Three years in a row! Yes, that's right, the Abarth 595 has once again reasserted its credentials by winning the German magazine 'Auto, Motor und Sport' readers choice award as the best car in the 'Imported Mini Car' category.

This iconic Italian compact sports car won the coveted 'Best Car' for the third consecutive year, receiving 27.2 per cent of the votes. It also made it into the top three in the overall Mini Car rankings. A blend of iconicity, style and performance, the Abarth 595 is packed with superior engineering technology and this latest win is further proof of its exceptional value.

Abarth 595 fans have a choice between saloon and convertible versions, as well as three trims and power levels. The range includes the 140hp Abarth 595, the 160hp Abarth 595 and 180hp Abarth 595 Competizione.

The entire 595 series comes complete with a vast number of unmistakably sporty features as standard, including sports seats, low-level sports suspensions, sports exhaust and ultra-lightweight alloy wheels. The Abarth 595 Competizione model offers an even larger number of racing features: Sabelt Abarth Corse bucket seats, carbon fibre and Alcantara steering wheel, Brembo high-performance braking system, Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) active shock-absorbers and Record Monza dual mode, four-speed exhaust.

It was in 1949 that Carlo Abarth, after a career racing motorcycles and cars, founded Abarth & C with Guido Scagliarini. The first vehicle produced was the 204 A Roadster, based on the Fiat 1100. It immediately won the 1100 Sport Championship as well as Formula 2. Alongside racing, the company started to produce tuning kits that improved performance, power and speed of standard vehicles.

Abarth vehicles were renowned for their high performance and power, but first and foremost for being small and agile just like the Scorpion. Carlo Abarth's performance modified cars achieved success in every competition and with him at the wheel, set many records. In the 1950s and throughout the 60s, the Abarth brand became synonymous with sport, tuning and performance, and changed the sports car world.

Today, the Abarth brand still maintains its unique DNA, and is renowned for performance, great driving pleasure and sporty appeal. The story of the Scorpion continues, facing new challenges, creating unique vehicles and giving great emotion to whoever has the honour of driving these vehicles. The Abarth mission is to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, by empowering customers and delivery exciting experiences to intensify their lives.

Abarth is now available in the Middle East in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
