Middle East - The Alfa Romeo Stelvio proudly stars alongside inspirational women in the groundbreaking ‘Hi Emirates’ TV Series

Dedicated to the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, and airing on Dubai One as part of the UAE’s National Day celebrations, the groundbreaking ‘Hi Emirates’ series, which starts with ‘Hi Dubai’, an original English TV series with subtitles in other languages, has been conceived to promote the unique spirit of the UAE.

The first series - ‘Hi Dubai’ - which comprises seven episodes, all of which feature the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the first ever SUV in Alfa Romeo’s 108-year history, debuts on 30 November at 8:00 pm with back-to-back episodes dedicated to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Spirit of the Union and Youth. The four other episodes are dedicated to Tolerance (airing at 2:30 pm on 1 December), Happiness, Culture (airing back-to-back from 8:00 pm on 1 December), Sport and The Future (airing back-to-back from 8:00 pm on 2 December).

Celebrating the achievements of 24 Emirati and Expat women in the UAE, personalities, culture, opportunities, locations and attractions, each episode features four women who share their inspirational and motivational stories, explaining how the UAE and the city of Dubai have empowered them, through their varied experiences, culture, traditions, professions and lifestyles. 

The series stars twelve Emirati women - Aisha Saeed Harib, Suaad Mohammed al-Hammadi, Shamsaa al-Shamsi, Khadija Mustafa al-Yousuf, Suhaila Mubarak al-Wali, Khulood Mahmood al-Rais, Amina al-Memari, Sara Khalifa al-Mubarak, Maryam Bartawi, sisters Sharifa and Samia Naser Yateem and the young Shahed Ahmad Kharam, plus twelve Expat women - Tenzin Choeyang, Celeste Lo Turco, Shanthi Thangaraj, Sana Sajan, Tala Badri, Al Anoud Ghazzawi, Diana Ganeva, Simona Briggiotta aka Samira Cooper, Dareen Barbar, Esmeralda Anton Lopez, Priyal Bhartia and the godmother of the series, renowned Egyptian actress Safia El Emari.

The women featured, all of whom were selected by the Italian producer Benedetta Paravia, come from a fascinating mix of backgrounds, including, amongst others, a Social Entrepreneur, Sovereign Wealth Funds Expert, Student, UN Ambassador, Photographer, Painter, Endurance Rider and Crime Scientist, so it is sure to be a varied and interesting viewing experience.
