ABARTH REVVED UP FOR APPEARANCE AT RACE RETRO SHOW

High performance car brand Abarth will be drawing on its rich heritage this week with an appearance at Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show.

Well known today for its stunning range of powerful hatchbacks, including the 500, 595, 500C and Punto Evo Supersport models, Abarth also has a long history in motorsport and performance engineering.

Abarth's show stand (Hall 1, Stand J20) will feature the latest examples of the Abarth 595 Competizione, the 595 Anniversario special edition, and the 695 Edizione Maserati.

In addition, four stunning cars from the company's past will also form a display - a 1964 Fiat Abarth 1600 OT Berlina, 1967 Fiat Abarth 1000 Berlina Corse, 1973 Abarth Osella PA2 Group 6 Racing Car, and an Abarth 595 historic racer from the 1960s.

"We are delighted to be taking part at Race Retro again this year," says Gerry Southerington, Head of Brand, Abarth UK. "Abarth has a rich heritage in racing and performance engineering, and has also seen an increasing admiration of its modern day cars. Race Retro is the perfect chance for us to showcase both of these elements - our splendid past and our exciting present."

Race Retro takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from 21 to 23 February, 2014.
